A VMUG Session to be remembered!

I am equally excited to publish this blog post as I would be referring to a VMware community that helped me to lay the foundation, In other words, gave me an opportunity to present my technical skillset on a public forum! “VMUG Pune” Yes !! you have read this perfectly fine.

However, the main agenda is to talk about the vLeaderConnect webcast that was held recently. The special guest speaker to this event was none other than Duncan Epping. I would really be surprised to know you have not heard about this individual If you are associated with VMware technology for a while.

Duncan Epping along with the VMUG Leaders.

The session mainly covered his journey from beginning of joining VMware as a Consultant until now designated as Senior Director & Chief Technologist which was equally inspiring. He did share a little secret on how consistently he has managed to blog all these years along with other schedules laid in the calendar.

From a technology standpoint the discussion mainly touched upon below areas.

  • Evolution of vSAN with vSphere 7.0.
  • VMware’s strategy on collaborating with different cloud providers as most of the customers are eventually migrating from On-Premises to Private/Public cloud.
  • Adoption of container technologies with vSphere (Project Pacific).
  • Scope of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from futuristic standpoint.

Overall session kept everyone engaged for 60 minutes and the ending note was planned with a awesome vSAN quiz to cheer up the participants further.

If you missed this session due to any circumstances, No worries!! The entire vLeaderConnect webcast can be viewed here.

The message that I want to convey through this article is to showcase the dedication shown by VMUG Pune . They ensured to organize and deliver excellent technical sessions consistently which in turn helped the entire community to build its knowledge and gave an opportunity to each and every individual to come together and share their respective knowledge based on their expertise.

Being a VMware evangelist if you dream on delivering a session in VMworld, Being a public speaker during an VMUG event can be your starting point.

I would urge all the viewers associated with VMware to be a active member of VMUG community irrespective of any region you belong to, Larger the community the more interactive these session can turn out to be.
